silky rewards
Last night, Matt + I attended our first our of 4 childbirth classes. I don’t know why but I was seriously so excited about it. I love being pregnant and I love learning about pregnancy, so it was just something to fulfill that love even more. Plus, I was excited for Matt to learn a little more about childbirth since I’ve done all the reading/studying thus far. I just want him to be as prepared as I hope to be for when the time comes. After sitting in some very uncomfortable chairs for half of the class and then “ah-hee, ah-hee, a-hee, a-who”-ing the second half of the class, I was tired, uncomfortable, and parched, which of course calls for some frozen custard as a reward for all my hard work in class. (My motto is “everything in moderation” but I have come to realize by my frequent posts about frozen custard and sweets recipes that I’m not showing you how I practice that on a daily basis. I plan on doing a few more posts about my healthy eating habits – although they are much different during pregnancy – in the near future.)Luckily, there’s a Silky’snot too far from the hospital, although not exactly on our way home. But, Silky’s delectably smooth custard sounded like the perfect treat for my parched “ah-hee” mouth.A few days ago, I got a sudden craving for cappuccino flavored custard, so after seeing their Cappuccino Chip concrete on the menu, I went for it. Matt decided that mint + Oreos was a great combo on the hottest day of the year, which I have agree with.I was actually really surprised to find mine was mixed with their chocolate custard. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that their chocolate is just as silky (ha!) smooth as their vanilla. Although, it did over power the cappuccino flavor until about halfway through my cup. However, still delicious + helped me get a little more comfortable, even if it was only for the few minutes I was eating it.
