The holidays certainly looked different last year, but as I am writing this, I am being bombarded with text messages from my extended family, planning our Thanksgiving celebration this year!

And I am EXCITED!

It’s actually been 4 years since we’ve had a traditional Thanksgiving with family. When my brother + sister-in-law moved out to California a few years ago, my parents would fly out to have Thanksgiving with them and my dad’s sisters who also live out there.

Which left our little family without a typical Thanksgiving. So, we decided that we would instead go to the movies to see the newest Disney film, and then come home a relax with a fun dinner (you know, our typical pizza nights).

I’m SO excited to have my brother + sister-in-law back in town and to FINALLY have a traditional Thanksgiving with my whole extended family… all 25+ of us!

And one thing that hasn’t changed?

Spending Black Friday putting up all our Christmas decorations and shopping the Black Friday sales to get the BEST gifts for my family (mostly the kids, but it still counts)!

I’m one of those people who not only loves to get gifts, but I love to GIVE gifts too! I pride myself on finding the best presents for each individual person - and get really frustrated when I can’t think of a good gift (I’m looking at you, Dad).

That being said, I wanted to give YOU a guide of some of MY personal favorites for the people in your life - or yourself - this holiday season!

But, I wanted to point out my TOP FOUR if you’re like me and struggle to make a decision. But, I’m going to do this in the way I give my kids gifts… something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read.

SOMETHING YOU WANT

This is something I had been wanting for awhile but I never actually put it on my wish list. Until last year when my mom was looking for just 1 more thing to get me for Christmas.

What was it?

A weighted blanket!

So, I have ZERO sleep issues, but something about having the pressure of a weighted blanket on me all night sounded wonderful.

And I was RIGHT!

My weighted blanket is not only my favorite gift I received in 2020, but it’s also my most USED gift! I literally use it every single night, and when I’m traveling, I miss the feeling of it on me!

I’ve even started getting into bed earlier because I just want to get under my blanket!

You’ll definitely want to add this to your wish list this year!

SOMETHING YOU NEED

You might have noticed a shift in things around here if you’ve been following me for a while.

(And if you have, I LOVE YOU! Thanks for following my crazy journey here!)

As of last week, I’m officially a certified productivity + business coach! My goal is to help working moms in 2022 have more time for family, fitness, and fun OR build a business in the cracks of their days so they can quit their full time jobs!

That being said, I am officially OPEN FOR BUSINESS! If you’re struggling with managing your time or your to-do list - or you want to be able to quit your 9-to-5 job - I have THREE 1-on-1 coaching spots available starting in January!

What does 1-on-1 coaching include?

  • You’ll get 3 months of weekly 45-minute coaching calls

  • Unlimited Voxer access to me

  • Access to any additional courses or programs that roll out in the next few months (hello time management course!)

You can APPLY NOW to start productivity +/or business coaching with me in January!

SOMETHING TO WEAR

I’ve always been a BIG fan of Fabletics, but last year, I fell in LOVE with a pair of their leggings!

I never thought I’d be a fan of high-waisted anything, but I guess as you get closer to 40 and have a little “mom pooch” to cover, high-waisted pants become your best friend.

I bought one pair because I forgot to skip my monthly order + had a credit, and I immediately went back and bought another pair because I loved them so much! I even decided to put them on my birthday and Christmas lists this year because I seriously don’t want to wear anything else!

Go get yourself a pair ASAP!

SOMETHING TO READ

This year has been the year of personal development books. You can check out half of what I’ve read so far this year, but I’ll be sure to share what else I’ve read so far soon!

I love personal development + will choose non-fiction over fiction EVERY DAY. But, when it comes to choosing my favorite and the BEST personal development book I’ve read this year, it has to go to Soundtracks by Jon Acuff.

As someone who struggles with mental health issues, I have to do A LOT to fix my mind, otherwise it spirals out of control and I can’t dig myself out of the hole I put myself in.

Jon Acuff teaches you 3 questions on how to take control of your overthinking… and let me tell you, it’s changed EVERYTHING for me in the past 6 months! Now, I’m able to stop overthinking immediately and haven’t had a spiral since!

If you also struggle with overthinking and spiraling thoughts, add this book to you 2022 book list!

I hope this helps you knock some gifts off your list this year! I have a bunch more stuff for you in the Gift Guide, so be sure to download it today!
