The Concrete Runner - Littles -- Links -- LovesThe first month of summer is coming to an end.  WAH!  Only one month left before it's back to the grind.  Boo.  But, I definitely feel like it's been a fun-filled summer so far.  I love packing an entire year's worth of fun into 2 months, especially when it involves traveling and spending time with my family.littlesMiles is now 18 months old - I cannot believe it!  Crazy to think that we are already half way to 2.  He is at such a great age right now!  He is repeating everything we say and it is so nice to be able to communicate with him.  He is still the happiest baby ever and he is so active.  We have quite the daredevil on our hands!  His favorite things right now are his Sissy, playing with cars, his blankie and Abby (his taggie puppy), and being outside.  Anytime he sees shoes, he asks, "Outside?"  Too cute.Miles - 18 monthsMacKenna, on the other hand, has not been quite as fun.  Apparently, we have a limit to how much "together" time we can have.  The limit is about a month before she becomes a complete brat, doing things she has never done before, like hitting + biting.  Thankfully, it is only to us, but she is just on the evil little streak.  I've seen a lot of improvement in the past week, thankfully, but man, it is definitely not as fun as my sweet and sassy little girl.  I can take the sass, but brat I cannot.  Hopefully, we get through this phase quickly!IMG_5703linksI've been spending a lot of time lately working on my run coaching business, so I have been doing a lot of personal/professional development.  That means lots of reading (currently reading Alan Culpepper's "Run Like a Champion"), as well as listening to a LOT of podcasts.  One thing that I've absolutely been loving lately is Periscope.  If you don't know about Periscope, it's live video, mostly from your favorite people on social media, giving you tips, advice, and a sneak peak into their personal lives.  I have yet to jump on the bandwagon and create my own scope, but I have a few ideas in mind that I am hoping to Scope soon!  Great people to follow include @fitparenting and @coachjasmin_ - they are the 2 I religiously watch.  And the best part, if you can't watch it live, you can catch a replay later on!Another thing that I have fallen in love with lately (yes, this includes a link, I promise) are bullet journals.  Katy Widrick posted this article about how to bullet journal on Facebook about a month ago, and I have been doing it ever since!  I am using my Plum Paper planner to do it right now (I already ordered it before I learned about bullet journals) and I am loving it!  You can read the article to understand more about it, but I have pinned a TON of things.  Right now, I'm in the process of creating a REAL one specifically for run coaching things to give me a little more space and to keep me organized.  If you're a Type A freak who loves organizing and planning, you NEED to research bullet journaling.lovesThose of you who follow me on Instagram have already heard my big "announcement", but I'm happy to announce that I am now a Legend Compression Ambassador!  I've been wearing compression socks for about a year now and I don't think I will ever go back.  They have helped me combat soreness, as well as helped with my plantar fasciitis that doesn't seem to want to go away completely.  I've also been dealing with some peroneal tendonitis on my left foot that compression socks have helped me stay pain free on my runs.Legend Compression - Right Not Tight CampaignI just started wearing Legend and have fallen in love with them!  They proclaim being "right not tight" in order to provide the perfect compression.  And perfect compression they provide!  I honestly forget that they are even on, but can feel the support in my feet and ankles through my runs.If you are interested in getting a pair for yourself, you can use the coupon code RIGHTNOTTIGHT at checkout for 20% off!  I know that I'll be purchasing SEVERAL more soon!  Because you know you need one in every color, right?!And my goofy little LOVE right now, we have been doing Just Dance on Wii before bedtime lately.  We have been renting them from the library (FREE 7-day checkouts) but I decided to see if there were any Disney ones on Amazon.  Um, hello Just Dance Disney 2, with a TON of Teen Beach Movie 2 songs!  Such a fun was to be active with my little girl!
