Meet our friends Kolby + Melissa!

It’s sort of funny how the 4 of us became friends.  Matt + Kolby used to work together at Matt’s school and hung out with the same group of people.  Little did we know that Kolby + Melissa are actually really good friends with my best friend Julie and her husband Matt.  I really didn’t get to know Melissa until pretty recently and we have become better friends through blogging!  They are foodies like us and we could probably talk about teaching + food all day long if we wanted to!

A few weeks ago, Matt came home from happy hour to tell me that Kolby had bought a ring!  And after almost 10 YEARS of dating, he finally popped the question on Christmas Eve!  You can read all about the proposal over on Melissa’s blog!

I love Melissa + Kolby’s story:  high school sweethearts who fell in love and decided to finally take it to the next level.  Plus, their engagement story is very similar to Matt + my engagement story, right down to the song that was playing/singing when one of the best moments of my life finally happened!
