baby girl: 12 months

Happy 1st birthday to my beautiful baby girl! We had a wonderful time at the pumpkin patch for her birthday last Thursday. Kenna also got to have ice cream for the first time! Fritz's of course! She loved it!

Milestones + AccomplishmentsStill no hair, but we officially have 3 teeth now! Her bottom 2 teeth are tiny, and her top tooth is huge! I can't wait to see what she looks like when she has all her teeth... And some hair!

MacKenna is still crawling like a champ and has now figured out how to walk behind some of her push toys! She loves it! She walks up and down the hallway and just laughs! She also found the steps at my parents' house and mastered those in 1 morning. I'd love to say she will be walking soon, but we all know that's not gonna happen.

MacKenna's new tricks now include hugs and kisses, which she started doing on my birthday this past weekend. Best birthday present ever - well, except maybe her birth last year!What We’re Working OnNothing in particular we're working on. Just trying to teach her new things as we go. She's picking up on things pretty quickly though.

I stopped breastfeeding a week shy of her first birthday. I'm handling it better than I thought I would, but my hormones are going crazy! I'm ready to feel normal again, anytime now...We just started Kenna on milk this week. We're hoping to transition her to the sippy cup full time soon. I just couldn't get my stuff together to wean her by her first birthday. But, she's very adaptable, so hopefully we can wean her totally soon.

Mama’s MilesRunning has been blah lately. I've been so busy and stressed that running has been the last thing on my mind. But I really really REALLY want to be back training hard. Volleyball season officially ends this week so I will have much more time to train. I have a few races in November and one in December. Can't wait to bust out some good times again!Random TidbitsDoctor’s visits: her 1 year checkup is next week.Current weight: she was 15 lbs 6 oz when I weighed her at 11 months, so she has officially tripled her birth weight!Current clothing size: we've moved up to 6-9 month clothes, just because her legs are too long for 6 month pants.Breastfeeding: Done.Likes: saying "hi", waving, pushing her toys aroundDislikes: having a dirty/wet diaper, being told no, not getting her way

I can't believe how fast this year has gone! Now, I have a toddler - and my hands full! She's such a great baby, and I look forward to continue to watch her grow and develop as a toddler!
